Unfortunately, all too often, history class has been boring, poorly taught or seemingly irrelevant. That’s terrible for our students, our society, and indeed the planet as a whole! 

Luckily, I know from experience that better is not only achievable, but also inspiring!  That’s why I’ve created History is Cool.ca. I want to share my passion for — and skill at — history education with a larger audience. 

To me, an effective history class doesn’t just teach the story of what happened. Rather, it engages students as critical thinkers, introduces them to mechanics of how we know what happened and develops useful real-world skills along the way!
